David Brownsword, Chairman
David Brownsword has worked in the insurance industry for more than 25 years. Having sold his company, Brownsword Ltd in 2005, David subsequently became involved in many diverse business & charity events. The high profile charity causes led to David working closely with, amongst many others, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Pele & Muhammad Ali. David’s business interests span many sectors including Insurance, Legal, sport, Eco, technology, concierge services & music. The roles are generally on a strategic & sales basis & include directorships. It is within the insurance sector especially where David has had his most notable successes in launching numerous new services and in January 2011 was appointed as the Chairman of Digilog UK
Lior Koskas, Managing Director
Lior is a world leading expert in the development of Voice Risk Analysis technology (VRA), having been engaged with the development of Nemesysco Voice Risk Analysis technologies since their beginning in 1997. He has worked with VRA on a wide range of international assignments and high profile fraud and criminal cases with a variety of corporate and public bodies, including both police and security services in the UK, US, EU, China, Singapore, Brazil, Colombia and others. In 2003, Lior was appointed as Business Development Director of Digilog UK. Since then has been responsible for overseeing the growth of the company’s client base to more than 15 major Financial Services companies across the UK and the expansion of Digilog into the Public Sector covering international countries such as Colombia and Czech Republic. Lior played a key role in identifying and bringing together the major partners who have assisted in Digilog’s rapid growth into the varying markets and in January 2011 was appointed as the Managing Director. Lior completed the Postgraduate Fraud Management Course offered by Liverpool University.
Jeremy Salmon, Finance Director
Jeremy Salmon is one of the three founders of Digilog UK Ltd and acting as Finance Director since 2001. Jeremy has a pro-active and strong management style; he is a good planning and strategic resource to the business. Jeremy has an honours degree in social science and technology. Jeremy has gained a wealth of experience from over 30 years in finance. He has been Managing Director for a Family Office. He has acted as an angel in a number of businesses, always taking an active role in the finance area. The businesses have been diverse, ranging from recruitment to childcare, motor dealership, stage engineering and car rental. All these businesses have benefited from strong financial controls, good strategic planning and firm management.
Peter Horton, Director
Peter is a Fellow of the Chartered lnsurance lnstitute Chartered lnsurer and a Fellow of the Chartered lnstitute of Directors. He was one of the founders of the claims operations at Direct Line and went on to be one of the founding Directors at Churchill lnsurance alongside Martin Long. Peter helped grow Churchill lnsurance to be a top 5 Motor lnsurer growing it organically and with several successful acquisitions. Many awards along the way with his market leading transformational activities disrupting the market on the journey. When Churchill was sold to RBS Peter became the MD of the Assistance Division managing 8000 people handling 3 million claims with a 3 Billion pound spend. Post RBS Peter joined with John, Phil, Steve & Paul to found ABC insurance which was subsequently purchased by Liverpool Victoria lnsurance. At LV Peter as COO was instrumental in Transforming the Customer Service and People Management. Peter in addition held various market positions including Board Membership of Thatcham and the MIB. Peter having specified the original claims system for Churchill at LV as the accountable Director lead the successful award winning implementation of Guidewire. Peter is the proud father of his 5 children and married to Wendy his mentor and best friend. He is excited at the opportunities disruptive technologies and strategies bring. This is reflected in the investment strategy and becoming a Director of Digilog.
Tony Martin, Non-Executive Director
Tony has over 30 years experience in the personal lines market and has held a series of senior positions notably at Aon and BDML. In 2009 Tony founded Selecter Insurance (Only Young Drivers), a unique new young driver car insurance provider, which utilises Digilog’s AVS process to underwrite and pick out lower risk drivers rewarding them with discounted premiums. Tony joined Right Choice Insurance Brokers at the beginning of 2015 in a general development role and is embedding AVS across all new business activity.
Andy McGeown, Director of Training
Andy joined Digilog in the summer of 2003, capitalising on his extensive experience in both developing and delivering training on Cognitive Interviewing and Conversation Management techniques. He first worked with these techniques in the 1990’s, when he was part of the management team within the Technical Claims Screening environment at Thomas Cook. In 2000 he moved on to join VFM, where he was engaged in the design and delivery of training of Cognitive Interviewing and Conversation Management and associated techniques to several clients, including many insurers. He first worked with the Digilog AVS process when involved in the development and delivery of what is now Digilog’s Advanced Validation Screening (AVS) Process. Digilog’s training and trainers have been awarded accredited status by the National Open College Network. Andy is recognised as one of the UK’s leading trainers in this field, being highly regarded by peers and trainees alike. Now as Digilog’s Director of Training, he is responsible for the continued evolution of the Digilog AVS Process based training, developing comprehensive training programmes to fulfil the needs of a number of financial and public organisations, in the UK, Europe and South America.
Paul Darlington, Operations Manager
Paul joined Digilog in 2004 following a successful career in claims & fraud risk management with Highway Insurance. Paul had a pivotal role in establishing Claims Validation Screening (CVS) for Highway Insurance and later helping to develop Digilog’s Advanced Validation Solution (AVS). Within his previous role as Team Leader of the Claims Validation Unit Paul led a team of highly trained claims handlers screening motor claims for risk. This provided Paul with first hand experience of the claims management environment and an excellent knowledge of insurance fraud, investigations, cognitive interviewing, conversation management techniques and voice risk analysis. When Paul began his career with Digilog in 2004 he was initially responsible for delivering training projects for private and public sector clients, in the UK and overseas. This included training assignments in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Ireland. In 2010 Paul was appointed Operations Manager for Digilog UK and is currently responsible for numerous areas of the business including project management, account management, developing new client relationships and oversight of all I.T. infrastructure and product development.
